About AgDev

AgDev represents a dynamic joint venture between two highly successful companies, InDev Capital and AgEquity Partners, renowned for their expertise in real assets and agricultural farmland investment, respectively. InDev Capital, a prominent merchant bank in Brazil with over a decade of experience, achieved an impressive 40%+ IRR on its last investment of US$130M.

Meanwhile, AgEquity has made substantial equity and
credit investments totaling over US$90M in Brazilian farmland over the past two decades, realizing an approximate 15% IRR. Their investments were not only driven by their own capital but also included contributions from partners from the USA and Europe.
Together, these two firms have come together to form AgDev, a venture that seeks to create a global asset class and unlock the equity value of Brazilian farmland.

Culture of values

AgDev's primary objective is to introduce Brazilian sustainable agriculture to offshore capital

which can directly mitigate the need for further deforestation in agriculture. At the heart of AgDev's focus lies the Degraded Pasture Fund, a pivotal vehicle through which we provide primary capital in USD to Brazilian farmers in the Cerrado region. The loans offer extended tenures that match the asset's nature, considering that converting degraded pastures into productive farmland typically requires a two-year timeframe.

By creating a robust and performing securitized offshore capital market, AgDev effectively addresses the scale and liquidity needs of the world's largest soy export market. The platform's ingenuity empowers producers to expand their operations in a more environmentally-friendly manner while actively reducing deforestation of crucial biomes and preserving carbon sinks. Emphasizing regenerative practices, AgDev's vision encompasses sustainable growth, benefitting not only the agricultural industry but also the global environment.
